The end of the Clay Season is approaching rapidly and we now have only a few events left to attend. It has been good to meet many of you at the various shoots but it is always something of a relief once the big events of the summer are past. As much as we enjoy attending these shoots it is hard to make up the time back in the office and workshop. This year Erwin has had the assistance of Martin and he has fitted into our routine well. Sadly his six months with us will soon be over and he returns to Germany at the end of October.

The last event of the year is the K-80 Trophy shoot at Dornsberg and we plan to travel by car to that event. Last year this was a fantastic shoot and I think everyone who came would agree that it was probably the highlight of the year. We were fortunate to have blue skies and sunshine the whole weekend and that combined with good company and good food made it something special. We hope to see more shooters from the UK and Ireland this year so if anyone needs some guidance please do not hesitate to contact me directly. For those who do not know the shoot is 200 FITASC on Saturday and Sunday October 22nd and 23rd. Practice is on Friday 21st. You can download an information sheet at www.krieghoff.de/k80trophy and you can also enter online via our secure server. Convenient airports are Stuttgart and Friedrichshafen. If you need help booking a room I will be happy to arrange that for you.

This year is the 25th Anniversary of the K-80 and we made a run of ten special K-80s to commemorate this. They feature the original 1980 K-80 logo on the receiver side, a 25th anniversary logo underneath and XXV on guard and top latch. The motifs are inlaid in silver on a black background. Of the run we have only two left here and only three on dealers shelves. Haggis from West Country Guns took the first one we had for his personal gun and we did him a special ¨Haggis¨ top latch to match.

Jonathon Williams is planning an open day at Hodnet a little later in the year and we plan to join him there. As soon as the date is fixed we will announce it on the web site.

Next Monday, 29th August, is a bank holiday and Pete Usher at Lakenheath is holding the UK Open Sporting. I will definitely be there for the day and look forward to seeing some of you there also.

This week we received a new shipment of 100% Polo shirts and Wind Breakers from the USA and so are back in stock of most sizes. The big problem with the US sourced Polos is the shipping and Import Duty. It means that our landed cost here equals the selling price in the US and we still have VAT to go on top. I am very close to concluding a deal to source the shirts here and that should mean a much better price. Details will follow when we have approved the samples.

That is all for now.
