K-80 San Remo

Alan I recently purchased a K80 No 13574 Silver Nitrate body engraved with dog and bird scenes. My friend tells me it is an San Remo Model High Grade, I have seen K32 San Remo models but never a K80 San Remo model can you assist me please.

The San Remo pattern, like all other former Model 32 engraving patterns, is available on a K-80. I can check the serial number with the factory and find out what the pattern was originally. Probably will not be possible now until they return after the Christmas holiday on January 9th.

I managed to contact Krieghoff before they closed and here is what they were able to tell me.
K80 13574 was made with 29" barrels, 12mm rib, Mod and Full chokes.
The engraving was not done by the factory and so they do not have any record of the pattern. The finish was nickel plated and that suggests to me that it is likely not a San Remo pattern as this normally has some inlay work.
Receiver and parts nickeled
The stock was Monte Carlo Trap #1A with a trap forearm wood #3. The wood grade was higher than standard.
The gun was ordered in April 1984 and shipped to Australia in July 1984.
If you can send me an image of the engraving I can advise you on the pattern. Please keep the image reasonably small as in my part of the country we still cannot get broadband. Anything over 1mb is a pain on dial-up. Send the image to alan@krieghoff.co.uk.
