K-80 Trigger Shoe Removal

Hi Alan,
I just purchased one of the new K-80 titanium trigger shoes from Krieghoff Intl. I originally thought that the existing trigger shoe would simplly slide off the rails and the new one could be installed. Now that I've had a closer look at it, I don't think that it works quite that way. Can you please tell me how I can go about removing the trigger shoe so that I can put the new one on the gun?

I need to know the type of trigger unit in your K-80. If you send me the serial number I can tell you how to fit it.

Part serial number does not really help. If you don't want to put the number in the public domain you can send it to me using the private message feature on this forum.
From the first part of the number I assume that your gun does have the t-slot for the trigger blade. Earlier guns had a dovetail slot. To fit the trigger blade you need to remove the trigger guard, back off both trigger adjusting screws and slide the blade off backwards. The new blade will almost certainy need some fitting to the rail as it is important that they do not wobble about. Replace the locking screws and the guard and that should be it.
