Every 200 or so shots the bedding screws that hold my adjustable comb in place works loose. This isn't a great problem as it's done this since I got the gun,and this w/endI still ran 50 straight with it loose.I checked them again the other day and decided to use a drop of Loctite to hold them in place. When I removed the front left screw (as you look from behind the gun) I noticed it didnt appear to bite the wood like the others, and apon inspection it looks as if the tip is missing (unless they are flat ended). I'm not keen to send the gun off and lose it for a couple of weeks as it's right in the important part of the season. Is this likely to be coverd by warrenty, and do you think it'll be ok to get this checked out around September when the season is over? Quite happy to continue nipping them up after every couple of hundred shots as long as it wont cause any problems with the gun....
many thanks

Let me have the serial number of the gun so that I can look what type of comb hardware is used. This is quite odd and I never heard of it happening before. Loctite does not hold in wood but I would much prefer that you do not do anything youself as this may make it impossible to repair later. You do not need to worry about the gun being away for weeks as this is not how we work. If you post the stock up to us on a Monday I guarantee you will get it back for the weekend. If we receive it Tuesday you could normally expect it back Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.
Do not leave this until September as there is a real risk that the srews will strip in the wood. Get it to us as son as possible and we will fix it under warranty.

Thanks for being so prompt. The no. is 031668 (supersport). Sorry for already using loctite,it's only on the metal to metal contact,so I hope it's not going to cause you too many problems. I'll try to drop it over any time after this w/end.Are you open on a saturdayfor me to drop it off, or should I drop it in to lakenheath for Pete to send it over? Thanks for your help, sorry to be a pain.

Don't worry, we can live with it. We only need the stock so that might help as you can send that by post without problem. My suggestion is to take it to any dealer you are friendly with and ask them to send it to us for next day delivery. We are not open Saturday but so long as we receive it on a Tuesday you will be sure to get it back well before the weekend. Pete at Lakenheath is not open Monday or tuesday but if you left it with him on a weekend I am sure he would get it away to us straight away.

Morning,I'm going to drop to stock over to Pete Usher tonight so that he can send it up (didn't fancy posting in just in case it meets with disaster!). I hope it can be sorted out ok,although the Loctite seems to have held it in place for this w/end. Thaks for your help,if there are any complications if you could keep me updated....

Sorry, forgot to ask : would it be easy to fit a pistol grip cap whilst you have the stock? .The gun is still performing miricales, but my hand could sit a tad lower (to get a straight line to the trigger) .I'm obvisously quite happy to pay for this undertaking, but if it is not conveniant at the moment it's no problem.Thanks.

We can fit a grip cap whilst it is here. We would make this from either black vulcanite or possibly rosewood. Rosewood is the more expensive option. We will need the gun for about two weeks to fit this into our work schedule. Let me know what you would like us to do.

Just a quick note to say thanks very much. Put 1100 shells down the barrel last week, and the comb is perfect.
