Hi everyone, looking to investing in a set of 20g Briley sidekicks for my 30" K80 sporting bbl's so as to shot that guage at the upcoming nats. I've heard that there is an ejection problem with the sidekicks? Any feedback appreciated

I retail Side Kicks and Side Kick Plus and it is correct that in some guns cartridge ejection is a problem. If you use a Winchester or Remington brass headed tappered hull the problem is very nearly non existent, the main cause is if the shell you use has a straight steel head to it. What seems to happen is that the steel head when fired expands into the tube ejector thus tightening the whole thing in the chamber preventing ejection of the spent hull. I have assumed it's because the chamber of the Side Kick is not as snug in the twelve gauge chamber as fitted tubes.
An inovative solution found by one of my customers was to paint under the tube ejector rim (outside) with a small line of nail polish. Several coats might be needed to achieve a tighter fit of the tube ejector up against the cartridge. This process was taken further by another customer applying some car body filler in the same way then gently smoothing it down to get a nice snug fit. It works well if you are prepared to spend a little time.

Thanks for that peter. What is the differance between the sidekicks and the sidekicks plus?

Side Kicks are a shorter version with no interchangeable chokes, ideal for skeet but not sporting clays. The Side Kick Plus have interchangable chokes and are slightly longer and can be used at most shooting disciplines including game birds. The big advantage of these type of tube insert is that it is not loading the barrel with so much weight as to drastically alter its balance and handling.
