Alan,

After a great weekend shooting I have got to do something about a recoil reducer. To keep options open in the future I would rather talk to Roy about not having any wood removed if possible, (I already have a thick Kick Ease on it).

The ISIS would potentially increase the length of my stock by about 5-8mm; I am not sure what effect this could have on gun fit.

Could you advise the potential effect of a too long/short gun stock.

Regards

Gavin

The short answer here Gavin is that if your stock fits you at the current length it will be too long at even 5mm plus. You might get away with it in Summer wear but what will you do in Winter? You may have to bite the bullet and shorten the stock a ilittle. Another option is to obtain another stock and have the reducer work done to that. It will not look as pretty but then at least you are preserving the value of the gun and not limiting yourself to the work you might want done.
