I would be interested to know if there has been a dramatic rise in the sale of Krieghoff's because whatever shoot I go to there are crowds of people shooting K-80's.
This is no exaggeration, while wating to shoot on some stands I have been amongst five/six other people with Krieghoff's.
I need something more exclusive - Hand me that lump hammer and chisel I feel a bit more engraving is called for! (in the divet style)
The Krieghoff is a great gun, loved by some, dismissed by others, I reckon there is an element of the shooting fraternity that buy a Krieghoff expecting it to 'fix' their scrores - and I'll be jiggered because it sometimes works!

This sounds like new car/gun syndrome.
Its when you get one it seems everyone else has the same thing, sounds like you need to talk to Alan about a custom K-80.
Why is it shooters that have not seen a K-80 up close first ask "how much" before any other question?

Out of the five of us that shoot together , three have Kreighoff's , in the last few months another three have joined the club .
I have found most people now have got over the "how much ??" question and now ask "where did you get it from ?" , they have now come to the conclusion that the price is not the problem its who sells's them

I don't think it's new gun syndrome, not after this long! True that some people have got over the question of money, people that had a Baikal last week are turning up with DT10's - once they have made this step then a Krieghoff isnt too far away. A 15 year old lad that I saw start as a promising junior 12 months ago unveiled a K80 Superscroll a while back, apparently his gran bought it for him.
Peoplefancy the idea of a Krieghoff, get one, find they like it and the question of money is forgotten - it's worth it! Now the trend seems to be getting a supersport with the titanium hanger .... the new titanium trigger isnt on the list of wants just yet though!
