Great Results for Krieghoff Shooters The British Open DTL Championship was held at Central Scotland Shooting School on July 17th 2010.
Conditions were very windy with changing light conditions leading to some interesting and challenging targets. Scores were low and it soon became obvious that perfect 300s were unlikely. Fairly early on a 297 came in from Irish Junior and K-80 shooter, Robert Carter and this remained unmatched leaving Robert the 2010 British Open Champion. Runner-up was Kevan Smith of Scotland on 296. Emma Wheeldon took the ladies title with the evergreen John Winn taking Veterans. With Robert taking both Open and Junior titles it was a Krieghoff clean sweep in all categories.
The Micky Wright Memorial Trophy is presented to the winner of a shoot off between the winners of each category. The final was between Kevan Smith (Seniors), John Winn (Veterans), Emma Wheeldon (Ladies) and Robert Carter (Juniors) - an all Krieghoff line up. In bad conditions with fading light, experience told and John Winn remerged the winner with 25 first barrel kills.
Congratulations to all shooters for outstanding performance.
